The Ghanaian government and MultiChoice have reached an agreement to upgrade DStv subscribers in the country to higher packages at no additional cost.
According to a report by TechAfrica News on Wednesday, Samuel Nartey George, minister of communications, digital technologies, and innovation, announced the deal on Tuesday after a committee review of DStv’s pricing structure and subscription trends in the country.
He described the decision as a “Ghana-only” scheme that will provide between 33 and 50 percent more value to customers from October 1.
“MultiChoice Africa has committed to implement an unprecedented increased value offer only in Ghana, and I repeat only in Ghana, which will result in Ghanaian DSTV subscribers getting more services for less,” George said.

According to the report, under the new plan, subscribers will be automatically moved to the next bouquet at no extra cost.
