Bola Tinubu, the presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), should be tired of running for office.

Speaking at the rally in Gbaramatu, which had Oboro II, the Pere of Gbaramatu in attendance, Tinubu said Atiku ran for the presidential seat numerous times and should be tired of running by now. 

“As I stand before you, there are few of us running. One says he is Atiku, how many times has he been running? He is now tired of running. Let’s tell him to go and sit down and quit the race. Enough is enough,” he said.

In the same breath, the former governor of Lagos took a swipe at Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), saying he is fond of quoting “wrong statistics” and practices only a “warehouse economy”.

“The other one thinks na statistics we go chop. He lies with arithmetic that no Indian can solve. To mention his name is a disgrace to me. I won’t mention the name. Wrong arithmetic, wrong statistics, warehouse economy — that is not what Nigeria needs,” Tinubu added.
