Pep Guardiola, Manchester City manager, has won the English Premier League manager of the month award for February.

It is the first time the Spaniard has won the award since moving to England.

Guardiola defeated Antonio Conte of Chelsea, Jose Mourinho of Manchester United and Tony Pulis of West Bromwich, to win the award.

City only played three Premier League games last month, winning 4-0 away at West Ham, 2-1 at home to Swansea and 2-0 away at Bournemouth due to FA Cup and Champions League engagements.

Conte’s Chelsea won only two games and drew one match in February, while Man Utd and West Brom both won twice and each drew one match.

Guardiola’s team currently lie in third place on the Premier League table, 10 points behind league leaders Chelsea and behind second-placed Tottenham on goal difference.

Chelsea’s Eden Hazard won goal of the month while Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, was awarded player of the month.
