Six workers of a ceramics company located at Itobe in Kogi state, have been abducted by gunmen.

William Aya, public relations officer of the Kogi police command, confirmed the development at a media briefing in Lokoja, the state capital, on Wednesday.

While noting that the workers were kidnapped on June 29, he added that they were working at one of the mining sites of the ceramics company located at Emiworo community in Ajaokuta LGA, when they were abducted.

Aya, however, explained that the police were informed about the incident on Wednesday morning.
