The Osun police command, on Thursday, said a man and his wife have been kidnapped from a village in Obokun LGA of Osun.

Yemisi Opalola, Osun police spokesperson, said the residents, identified as London and Blessing Omoru, were kidnapped from their farm by armed men on Wednesday night.

Opalola said the attack was reported at Esa-Oke police division, adding that the command’s tactical team has been deployed to ensure the rescue of the couple.

She said the police are working with local hunters and vigilantes to comb the forests in search of the perpetrators.

According to NAN, Andrew Omoru, the son of the kidnapped couple, reported the incident to the police.

The police, however, said the motorcycle which the couple boarded to the farm and empty bullet shells were found at the scene of the incident.

Opalola also said security operatives are closing in on the kidnappers.
