Gunmen kidnap monarch’s wives, son in Taraba

Gunmen have kidnapped two wives and a son of Dansalama Adamu, the chief of Sarkin Kudu, in Ibi LGA of Taraba state.

The gunmen were said to have invaded the traditional ruler’s residence on Friday night.

The monarch was said to be away from home during the incident.

TheCable understands that the abductors have not contacted the family.

Speaking on the incident, Usman Abdullahi, Taraba police spokesperson, told TheCable on Saturday evening that three suspects linked with the abduction have been arrested.

The police spokesperson said the suspects were providing useful information, adding that the police were tracking the abductors.

In January, gunmen kidnapped two wives and five children of Sani Mohammed, chief of Mutum Biyu of  Gassol LGA, Taraba state.

Some days later, the victims were found dead.
