Gunmen kidnap three staff of Obasanjo Farms in Ogun

Three staff of Obasanjo Farm have been abducted at Kobape in Obafemi-Owode LGA, Ogun state.

According to the Punch, the workers were abducted on Wednesday at Obasanjo Holdings when the gunmen waylaid them.

A source told the newspaper that the abducted workers are the financial controller, group auditor and group store manager of the farm.

“They were abducted around 4pm at Seseri village after their Hilux car was shot at by the gunmen, who took them away,” the source said.

Abimbola Oyeyemi, Ogun police spokesperson confirmed the incident on Thursday, when TheCable reached out to him.

The spokesperson said operatives of the anti-kidnapping unit have been mobilised to the area to track down the gunmen.

Asked if the gunmen had contacted the families of the victims or the farm, he said the police have not received any information on that.

“Gunmen kidnapped some people yesterday at a farm in Ogbe village in Obafemi-Owode LGA around 6pm, yesterday,” the police spokesperson said.

“We are on their trail, the anti-kidnapping unit, SWAT and some other conventional policemen are trailing them with the hope of rescuing them.”
