Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen have reportedly killed Lucky Idoko, an All Progressives Congress (APC) youth leader in Enugu state.
Dayo Isreal, the APC national youth leader, confirmed the killing of Idoko in a tweet posted on Sunday.
The APC youth leader said Idoko was “murdered by unknown gunmen” on Saturday.
Idoko was said to have been killed in Unadu while going about his business as a commercial motorcyclist.
The passenger he was conveying on his motorbike reportedly escaped unhurt.
“Yesterday, one of our own – Igboezer South LGA Youth Leader, a very hardworking friendly youth was murdered by unknown gunmen. May God grant his family the fortitude to bear the Loss and heal our Land. It is well,” Isreal posted on his Twitter page.
The deceased, who once represented Unadu community as a councillor, was until his death an APC youth leader in Igbo-Eze south LGA of Enugu.
He was reportedly the chairman of the vigilante group in his community.
