Hard work pays says Musa as CSKA Moscow win league

CSKA Moscow won the Russian Premier League for the 13th time on Saturday after defeating Rubin Kazan.

CSKA held on to an early lead to win 1-0 against Rubin Kazan, knowing that if Rubin had equalized Rostov would have taken the title on the head-to-head record.

Commenting on the game shortly after it ended, Ahmed Musa, the Nigerian winger, told TheCable that he was elated.

“I am very happy that my team won the Russia league. Our hard work from the beginning of the season paid off,” he said.

“Ending the season by winning this cup shows better wonderful things will happen in the next season to come.”

Musa has scored 13 goals in 30 games appearance for the 2015/16 season for CSKA Moscow.

Rostov go into the Champions League qualifying rounds, while reigning champion Zenit is third and head for the Europa League.
