‘He was in a class of his own’ — Tinubu eulogises Ohinoyi of Ebiraland

President Bola Tinubu has condoled with the people of Kogi state over the death of Abdul Rahman Ado Ibrahim, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland.

The monarch died on Sunday at the age of 94.

According to a family member, the first class king passed away around 2am at a hospital in Abuja.

The deceased monarch assumed the office of Ohinoyi of Ebiraland in 1997 after the death of the former Ohinoyi, Sanni Omolori

In a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, special adviser to the president, Tinubu said the death of the monarch is a painful loss to the country, while describing him as “peace-loving, affable, and cerebral”.

The president eulogised the deceased monarch for his “masterful way” of handling issues.

“The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland was in a class of his own. He was highly respected and admired for his deep insights, wisdom, and sophistication,” the statement reads.

“May Almighty Allah grant His Majesty Aljannah Firdaus.”

The president asked the people of Kogi to emulate the “legacy of peace and fellowship” of the deceased monarch.
