Mrs Binta Masi is the first female party chair in Adamawa State.

She made history on Wednesday when she was elected unopposed as the chair of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Masi, a former member of the House of Representatives, was endorsed at the rescheduled state congress of the party following the withdrawal of two of her opponents.

Gov Murtala Nyako had on Tuesday appealed to party supporters to vote Masi as party chair, describing her as “capable and competent”.
