Uba Sani
Femi Fani-Kayode, former minister of aviation, has commended Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna, for promoting peace and religious harmony in the state.
Speaking on Saturday at the 35th anniversary synod of the Diocese of Kafanchan (Anglican Communion), Fani-Kayode described Sani as “God-sent”, saying his administration has helped bridge divisions between Christians and Muslims.
The former minister said Kaduna had experienced years of violence and discrimination against Christians, but that the situation has begun to improve under Sani’s leadership.
“With Governor Uba Sani, the situation has started to change for the better in Kaduna state,” he said.

“What he is doing should serve as an example to the rest of the country.”
Fani-Kayode, who described the governor as one of his closest friends, praised him for his “humane” approach to governance and for showing respect to both faiths.
“This is a governor who entered a church, and out of respect to our faith and our God, he removed his cap. This is a man you must respect and stand by,” he said.

He also recalled the December 25, 2016, killings in southern Kaduna, lamenting that victims were abandoned by authorities at the time.
He said the state has since become more peaceful and united.
Fani-Kayode urged Christians and Muslims in Kaduna to forgive one another and work together to sustain the peace.
“If you lost a child during the time of terror, find a Muslim child to adopt,” he said.
