A torrent of reactions has trailed the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The former vice-president defeated Aminu Tambuwal, Bukola Saraki and nine other aspirants to win the PDP ticket for the 2019 presidential election.
Atiku’s victory is currently trending on Twitter, a social media platform where he is an active participant.

Why are y'all celebrating Atiku now though? Thought y'all wanted a younger and well educated young Nigerian?

What if Atiku picks Aunty Oby as running mate? 🤔🤔🤔 pic.twitter.com/2BtIiF1QzQ

The best time for Obj to reunite with Atiku is now. He is old, he must not carry malice to the grave. Unfortunately, PMB does not need him to win. He had better partner with Atiku.

Atiku's last shot. He would give it his all. He won't spare any dollar. He won't spare any strategy. He would go into it with all he has. And if against my expectations he wins, expect him to be in office till 2027.
Good afternoon and God bless Nigeria.

For me what Atiku should do next is get a better media team, continue to sensitize Nigerians from the grassroots with the help od Kwankwaso and other grassroots PDP men. Also pacify with Obj. He doesn't have to support u but… #PDPPresidentialPrimaries #PDPConventionPHC

Supporters of @OfficialPDPNig are of the assertion that @MBuhari at 75 is too old to lead Nigeria. This point will no longer be valid as a 71 years old man has just been given the @OfficialPDPNig presidential ticket. #PDPConventionPH #PDPpresidentialprimaries

u didnt talk plenty, u didnt behave like a snake, u didnt betray anyone, u had to "mind your business" and now you've chosen to "make Nigeria your business". You're a good businessman, we've seen it in Yola. #GoAtiku#PDPConventionPHC #PDPpresidentialPrimaries @benmurraybruce pic.twitter.com/K9hb9bh5r0
