The Kaduna chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has pledged its support for Uba Sani, governor of the state.
In a letter dated August 18 and signed by Caleb Ma’aji Bawa, its chairman, the association said it would continue to pray for the governor and work with his administration to promote peace and unity.
“Your leadership is crucial in fostering unity, peace and development in Kaduna state and we pledge to stand with you in prayers as you navigate the challenges of governance,” the letter reads.
The Kaduna CAN also commended the governor for approving the rehabilitation of key roads in the state, including the PAN Drive–Television Garage–Sabo road, Samrada–Romi–Karatudu–Gonin Gora road, and the Nasarawa–UNTL–Zenith Bank road.

“The gesture is a testament to your administration’s commitment to providing infrastructure that enhances the quality of life for all residents of Kaduna state,” the group said.
Kaduna, one of Nigeria’s most religiously diverse states, has often grappled with ethno-religious tensions.
Over the years, CAN has worked with successive governments to foster dialogue among communities.

Since assuming office in May 2023, Sani has repeatedly said that peace and infrastructure development remain the pillars of his administration.
The roads under rehabilitation link densely populated areas of the state capital, where residents have long complained about poor access routes and the impact on business activities.
