Eagles, Falconets, Rohr, Oshoala earn CAF awards nominations

Gernot Rohr has been nominated for coach of the year by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The Super Eagles of Nigeria were nominated for national team of the year.

CAF announced the nominations for the 2017 Aiteo CAF award on Monday.

Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala, is among the nominees for the best women’s player award while Nigeria’s U20 women national team, Falconets, are up for the women’s national team of the year award.

The winners will be decided by votes from the members of the CAF technical and development committee, CAF media experts panel and independent media and TV consultants.

The award gala will take place on Thursday, January 4, 2018, in Accra, Ghana.
