Bolivia‘s interim President Jeanine Anez Chavez says she has contracted COVID-19.
In a tweet on Thursday, Chavez said she “feels fine” and would continue working from isolation.
“I have tested positive for COVID-19. I am fine, I will work from isolation. Together, we will come out of this,” she tweeted.

Reports say at least seven ministers had tested positive for the disease, hence the reason she took a test.
The development comes days after Jair Bolsonaro, president of Brazil, tested positive for COVID-19.
Bolsonaro said he had been exhibiting symptoms, including high temperature, since Sunday.
A fourth test conducted on Monday on the president showed he had the virus.
Bolivia borders Brazil on the north and east.
So far, Bolivia has recorded 44,113 cases of COVID-19.
While 1,638 people have died, 13,354 patients have recovered from the disease, according to Worldometer.
