Ibinabo Fiberesima, veteran Nollywood actress and president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has been elected for a second term in office.

Ibinabo was sworn in again on Thursday as president of the guild, despite having received votes of no confidence from some of her colleagues, such as Clarion Chukwurah, Emeka Ike and John Okafor, who all said her first-term performance in office did not justify another tenure.

In 2012, the star actress and mother of five children, who will be getting married for the first time in December 2014, became the first woman to emerge AGN president.
