The Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) federal capital territory (FCT) chapter, in partnership with the Abuja Multi-Door Courthouse (AMDC), has unveiled activities to mark the 2025 Settlement Week.
According to a statement issued by Mariam Kombo-Ezeh, chairperson of the Settlement Week Committee, the event, slated to be held between July 7 and 11, would take place at the Abuja Multi-Door Courthouse, located within the High Court/JSC Complex in Gudu.
With the theme “Promoting Peace. Encouraging Mediation. Delivering Justice”, Kombo-Ezeh said the initiative seeks to reduce the burden on courts by encouraging alternative dispute resolution methods.
“This is more than an event; it is a movement towards institutionalising peace in how we handle conflict,” the statement reads.
