Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, says former President Muhammadu Buhari told him to care for poor Nigerians.
Obi spoke on Wednesday while fielding questions from journalists at the residence of the late president in Daura, Katsina state.
The former governor of Anambra said the late Buhari wanted Nigerian leaders to learn how to serve the country humbly, “knowing that one day we will all be called back by our creator.”
“I had the opportunity of meeting the late Muhammadu Buhari while I was campaigning, and I remember his words till today,” Obi said.
