The first set saw Muchova hit the net in a game she needed to hold her serve. She used her drop shot but Swiatek read it well and popped the ball over but the Czech player could not return. A fantastic rally gave Swiatek the first set.

Muchova fought back to win the second set 7-5 to force a third and final set which Swiatek won 6-4.

Having won the title in 2020 and 2022, the Polish player becomes the youngest three-time French Open women’s champion since Justine Henin won three straight tournaments from 2005 to 2007.
