Ighalo joins Saudi's Al-Wehda

Al Wehda of Saudi Arabia have signed Odion Ighalo, former Super Eagles striker.
The deal was announced on the club’s Twitter account on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old is joining the Mecca-based club for an undisclosed fee. He also reportedly penned a two-year contract with the Saudi Professional League outfit.
Ighalo joined Al-Wehda after his contract with Al-Hilal had expired in June.
The Nigerian moved to Al-Hilal in January 2022 from Al-Shabab FC.
The 34-year-old exited Al-Shabab after he was reportedly not allowed to participate in the 2022 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) by a controversial clause in his contract.
He had previously spent six months on loan at Manchester United.
Ighalo announced his retirement from the Super Eagles in 2019, shortly after picking up the golden boot at the AFCON in Egypt.
But he was pulled out of retirement two years later when Gernot Rohr, the former head coach, had lured the Lagos-born striker back to the team.
He was a second-half substitute in the Eagles’ World Cup qualification match against Cape Verde in November 2021.
