Odion Ighalo, the out-and-about goal getter for Watford FC, says he is trying hard to score goals for Nigeria.

The 26 year-old has netted 10 times for his English club this season, climbing to fourth on the scorers chart – 5 behind leading scorer, Jamie Vardy.

Ighalo, in an interview with Channels TV said he is always ready for the Nigerian national team, regardless his inability to register a goal yet.

He said his commitment and dedication to helping Nigeria qualify for the Nations Cup is 100% and thanked Coach Sunday Oliseh for supporting him.

‘’I am always ready to give my best anytime I’m playing for my country,” he said.

“In the last game, I gave my best but the goals did not come. I worked hard. Coach Sunday Oliseh told me (that) I should not worry about that the goals will come in the next game.

‘’I know by God’s grace we’ll win the game and qualify for the Nations Cup.’’
