Odion Ighalo, Super Eagles of Nigeria’s former striker, on Saturday scored his first goal for Al-Shabab, his new club in Saudi Arabia, in their 4-0 rout of Al-Nassr in the country’s Pro League encounter.
The 32-year-old striker rounded up scoring with the final goal in the 92nd minute after Ever Banega and Cristian Guanca (brace) had given the table toppers a three goal lead.
The predatory striker came on in the 62nd minute and set himself in space to collect a swift through ball and dispatch for his first goal for the club he joined earlier this month.
Ighalo has now scored a league goal in the top flight league of six different countries that includes Spain, England, Italy, China, Norway and Saudi Arabia.
Ighalo left Manchester United, English Premier League side, at the end of his loan deal in January.
He returned to Shanghai Shenhua, his parent club, before securing his latest deal with the Riyadh-based club on transfer deadline day.
Al Shabab have 38 points from 18 matches and sit top of the league with a four-point lead ahead of second-placed Al Ahli FC.
