Muyiwa Adejobi
Kayode Egbetokun, the inspector-general of police, has redeployed Muyiwa Adejobi, the force public relations officers (FPRO), to the Delta state command.
Adejobi will assume the role of deputy commissioner of police in charge of operations in Delta.
The deployment was announced in a statement on Wednesday released by Adejobi.
The force spokesperson said arrangement has been made for the announcement of a new FPRO.

“The IGP has commended DCP Adejobi for his exceptional service as force public relations officer, noting his professionalism, commitment, and remarkable contributions to strengthening the image and communication strategies of the Nigeria Police Force,” the statement reads.
“The IGP expressed confidence that he will bring the same level of dedication and excellence to his new assignment in Delta State.”
Recently, Adejobi was promoted to the rank of deputy commissioner of police (DCP) from assistant commissioner of police.

In February 2022, Usman Baba, then IGP, appointed Adejobi in acting FPRO capacity after Frank Mba, the former spokesperson, proceeded for a course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos.
In April 2022, Muyiwa was confirmed as the force spokesperson.
Prior to his appointment as FPRO, Adejobi served as Lagos police spokesperson between September 2020 and August 2021. He was later posted to the public relations department of the force headquarters in Abuja.
Adejobi was the police spokesperson of the Ogun state police command from 2008 to 2016. He also served as police spokesperson for zone 2 headquarters in Onikan, Lagos.

He had also served as operations officer, anti-bank robbery and anti-pipeline vandalisation, Sagamu division from 2006 to 2008; admin officer, department of operations, police headquarters, Ogun state in 2008; and operations officer, department of operations, Lagos command in 2017.
Adejobi studied archaeology and geography (combined honours) at the University of Ibadan. He also earned a master’s degree in peace and conflict studies from the same institution.
