Kelechi Iheanacho is reportedly scheduled to have a medical at Leicester on Tuesday even as the player is caught in the middle of a legal dispute between his former and current agents regarding his image rights.

According to Sky Sports, the Nigerian striker will, in no time, seal his £25m transfer to Leicester from Manchester City.

But the Sun UK reports that Iheanacho’s move away from City may have been delayed up until this point as a result of the disagreement between the agents.

Iheanacho was alleged to have signed with Stellar Group while he had an existing agreement with America’s First Eleven Management.

The 20-year-old reportedly filed pleadings in a US court denying having any prior relationship with Henry Galeano, who claims to be his former agent.

But Galeano, in a sworn affiliation submitted to the court, claims he spent “hundreds of hours” with Iheanacho.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Iheanacho and I have spent hundreds of hours together,” Galeano wrote in the court affidavit.

Galeano said he became Iheanacho’s official Fifa-licensed agent in July 2013.

His company First Eleven Management has alerted Leicester City of its claim to Iheanacho’s image rights.

If Iheanacho is adjudged to have knowingly misled the court, he could be charged with unsworn falsification.

Should he be found guilty, the crime carries a penalty of up to two years in prison under Pennsylvania law.

The Nigerian scored seven goals for City in 28 appearances in all competitions last season.
