Despite being missing from the starting eleven of Manchester City in recent matches, Nigerian striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, is in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with his teammates.

The Citizens are in Abu Dhabi to train after a 5-3 win over Monaco during Tuesday’s Champions League clash at the Etihad stadium.

Iheanacho has been sidelined from Pep Guardiola’s squad since the arrival of Gabriel Jesus.

The 19-year-old Brazilian striker suffered an injury in City’s win at Bournemouth on February 13.

He was withdrawn from action after only 15 minutes and will miss the rest of the season, possibly paving the way for Ihenacho to return to the first team.

Jesus has scored three goals in five appearances for City since his move from Palmeiras was rubber-stamped in January.

He has received widespread praise for the way he has quickly adapted to English football.

Abu Dhabi is home to Manchester City owner, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, who’s also the deputy prime minister of UAE.
