The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has announced Ikenne, Ogun, as the host city for the 2024/2025 Nigerian Women’s Football League (NWFL) Super Six tournament.

The NWFL Super Six is a playoff tournament that determines the league champion. The competition will be played in a round-robin format, with all six teams playing five matches each.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from May 8 to 17 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

Five clubs have booked their place in the tournament: Rivers Angels, Nasarawa Amazons, Bayelsa Queens, Edo Queens, and Remo Stars Ladies.

The sixth and final slot will be determined after the decisive Matchweek 14 clash between Robo Queens and Naija Ratels on Wednesday.

The NWFL Premiership has produced different champions in the last four editions: Rivers Angels won in 2021, Bayelsa Queens were champions in 2022, Delta Queens triumphed in 2023, and Edo Queens lifted the title in 2024.

The winner of the 2025 NWFL Super Six will go on to represent Nigeria at the WAFU-B Qualifiers for a place in the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League, and ultimately, the inaugural 2026 FIFA Women’s Club Championship.
