Imole Oloyede, popularly known as “System”, says he is prepared to go the distance when he takes on Saddam “Baby Boxer” Oladipupo for the national lightweight title at GOtv Boxing Night 34.

The national title bout is scheduled for December 26 at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.

Earlier this month, Oladipupo threatened to knock out Oloyede within the first two rounds of the bout, promising it would be an easy victory for him.

In his response, Oloyede dismissed his opponent’s warning as mere talk, adding that he is prepared and “will be there from the first bell to the last”.

He said if his opponent rushed the fight to get a quick stoppage, then he would “understand why they call me System”.

“Everyone can talk about two rounds. But this is a national fight. I have prepared for every minute. When the pace settles and the noise fades, that is when the real work begins,” Oloyede said.

“I don’t rush fights,” he said. “I read them. If Saddam wants to come fast, that is his choice. I will be there from the first bell to the last, and he will understand why they call me System.”
