Despite the divorce scandal she is currently enmeshed in, Nollywood actress Ini Edo seems “at peace” and is full of smiles for her adoring fans and critics.

Although tongues are still wagging on tales of infidelity and alleged thrashing by the wife of a man she was believed to be cheating with (the beautiful actress denied this), she seems to have resolved not to address the matter anymore, allowing her critics to continue with their speculations.

Three weeks ago, Ini took to her Twitter account to confirm her divorce, while outright denying ever cheating on Philip Ehiagwina, her then husband of six years. Some of Philip’s family members have denied Ini’s claim of fidelity, accusing her of actually cheating.

“I can tell you that Ini Edo is a serial cheat who played the field behind her husband’s back for the duration of their marriage. Is she going to deny she was dating one Island big boy whose girlfriend organised her friends to beat her up and injured her?” a source was quoted.

“I can tell you that Ini Edo is not as innocent as she is trying to make people believe or think. We caught her on more than three occasion with three different men and she always begged us to forgive her.”

And another source added: “We can even mention some of the men she had affairs with, including a South-South governor whose wife embarrassed her and ordered her security to send her out of the governor’s guest house in the state capital. She should dare us and we will mention the name of the governor on the pages of newspapers.”

Some are also of the belief that the marriage may have been rocky because it did not produce any child.

However, the screen diva has chosen to develop the required thick skin for a public figure that she is, as she remains mute while sharing pictures and quotes on her social media accounts, revealing her state of mind.

“I knew I matured when I realised every situation doesn’t need a reaction,” one of such quotes read.

“Sometimes, you gotta leave people to do the same lame sh.., they do.”

Ini Edo… happy as ever

Donning a black top and cut-off jeans, Ini poses like a female rapper would, then captions it: “Peace…”

Perhaps in another effort to convince the prying public that she is truly at peace, Ini shares more pictures of herself grinning with smiles, while still donning a shining ring.
