Nigeria has issued an international arrest warrant for Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche who is a prime suspect in the two bomb blasts at Nyanya near Abuja.
The army deserter, who has a British passport, is believed to be currently in Sudan.
The security agencies said he used to work for the intelligence unit of the Nigerian Army before deserting in 2006.
The Nyanya blasts, which Boko Haram took responsibility for, killed over 100 persons and injured hundreds.
“The national bureau of Interpol in the Nigerian police force has issued an international red alert for the search and arrest of Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche,” Mike Omeri, director general of the National Orientation Agency, said at a news conference on Tuesday.
The State Security Service (SSS) has announced a reward of N25 million for information leading to the arrest of Ogwuche, who is from Benue State.
Another suspect, Rufai Abubakar Tsiga, has been declared wanted with a bounty on his head.
Ogwuche was arrested at Abuja airport in 2011 on arrival from Britain on suspected terrorism-related activities but was released to the care of his father, a retired army colonel, following protests from rights group, officials had said on Monday.
The first blast occurred on April 14 and the second on May 1.
