The Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria (IPAC) has removed Godson Okoye, its secretary and Rasaq Eyiowuawi, deputy secretary, for alleged violations of the council’s code of conduct.

The decision was taken after a committee set up to investigate the allegations against them, submitted its report.

According to Ogbuehi Dike, IPAC’s publicity secretary, Okoye and Eyiowuawi refused to honour the invitation of the probe panel which gave them an opportunity to defend themselves.

“After investigating the charges of misconduct against Okoye and Eyiowuawi, the two officers were invited to defend themselves but they declined, without giving reasons for doing so,” Dike said in a statement.
