Singer Ayo ‘Wizkid’ Balogun is having what appears to be the best time of his career, save for when he released the classic ‘Superstar’ album in 2011.
In the past year, Wizkid has made giant strides in his efforts to take his craft onto the international stage.
During that time, he went into the studio and recorded with world famous musicians, such as R-Kelly, Drake, Skepta, Chris Brown.
Several international celebrities — from Tinie Tempah to Alicia Keys — have also shown him love and at the same time fallen in love with his sound, which he describes as Afrobeats.
Only recently, Wizkid joined Chris Brown on a tour of some European cities — a calculated attempt to introduce him to the international market.
Just when the buzz of that tour was beginning to wane, Wizkid announced what is momentarily the biggest collaboration of his life, on Thursday.
The artiste, who’s the CEO of Starboy Worldwide, announced to his fans an upcoming collaboration – Shabba – featuring American superstars Trey Songz, Chris Brown and French Montana.
Wizkid, through Instagram, informed his fans that he’s about to “take it all the way up”… “in a bit”.
