Alessandro Mattinzoli, Lombardy regional minister for economic development, has tested positive to coronavirus.

Lombardy, a region in northern Italy, is the most affected by COVID-19 in the country.

Following Mattinzoli’s positive diagnosis, Attilio Fontana, Lombardy’s governor, quarantined himself.

Fontana said all the 17-member Lombardy local government will undergo medical screening for the disease.
