Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has visited Rauf Aregbesola, former governor of Osun, at his residence in the state.
In a video posted on his X handle on Friday, Abubakar is seen driving into Aregbesola’s residence, where the former governor welcomes him upon stepping out of his car.
The duo then walk into the house, accompanied by their supporters.
“Breakfast time at the residence of former Governor of Osun State, Engr Rauf Aregbesola,” Abubakar captioned the video.

Aregbesola was expelled by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun in January over alleged anti-party activities.
Abubakar also visited Akure, the capital of Ondo state, to attend the coronation of Clement Adesuyi, the paramount ruler of Ijesaland.
Abubakar’s visit to Aregbesola comes as opposition politicians intensify coalition efforts ahead of the 2027 general election.

TheCable reported that opposition leaders are finalising plans to adopt the African Democratic Party (ADC) as their platform to challenge the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 presidential election.
The opposition leaders include Abubakar, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, and Nasir el-Rufai, a chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
