IT’S OFFICIAL: Pogba joins Monaco after serving doping ban

Pogba signs two-year Monaco deal after doping ban

Paul Pogba has officially joined AS Monaco on a free transfer after signing a two-year contract with the Ligue 1 club.

The French club announced the former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder’s signing on Saturday as he returns to competitive football following a doping suspension.

‎Pogba, a Man United youth product, left for Juventus a second time in 2022, but his latter spell with the Bianconneri was ruined by a failed drug test in September 2023.

His four-year doping ban for non-endogenous testosterone was however reduced to 18 months by the court of arbitration for sports (CAS).

Juventus also terminated the midfielder’s contract while serving the ban.

The 32-year-old now makes his return after serving the ban, with Monaco snapping up the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.

‎”AS Monaco are delighted to announce the arrival of Paul Pogba,” the club wrote.
