President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the killing of farmers by Boko Haram members in Borno state.

About 45 farmers in Zabarmari community of Jere local government area of the state were killed by members of the sect.

Nasiru Usman, one of the farmers who escaped during the attack, said seven farmers were also abducted.

A few days ago, the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) had called on the president to address the insecurity in the northern part of the country.

The group had said it was conveying the anger and frustrations of many northerners to the president to do the needful by securing the nation, adding that Buhari’s response “is getting too late”.
