It’s silver in women’s 4×400, 4×100 relays

The quartet of Patience George, Regina George, Ada Benjamin, and Folashade Abugan won silver in the women’s 4 x 400 relay final at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

In a very close race, Team Nigeria finished on 3.24.71 behind Jamaica who won gold with a time of 3.23.82.

England came third after finishing in 3.27.24.

Similarly, the Nigerian 4×100 relay team led by Blessing Okagbare and also comprising comprising Gloria Asumnu, Dominique Duncan, and Lawreta Ozoh won silver in the women’s 4 x 100 relay race at the Hampden Park Stadium in Glasgow, finishing at 42.92 behind Jamaica who won gold with a time of 41.83.

England came in third with a time of 43.10.

With this feat, Nigeria now has 35 medals and maintains its 8th place on the medals’ table.
