Paul Pogba, Manchester United’s midfield talisman and record signing, has announced that he is ready to quit the Old Trafford club, citing the right time to take up a new challenge.

The World Cup-winning French midfielder made his intentions known to reporters in Tokyo, Japan, during his first leg of his Asia promotional tour.

The 26-year-old footballer rests after another grueling in which he was occasionally singled out as the problem of a team that finished sixth in the EPL and failed to qualify for next season’s Uefa Champions League (UCL).

“I am thinking of this: To have a new challenge somewhere else,” started Pogba, who left Manchester United as a youngster only to celebrate his ‘return home’ three years ago,” he said.

“For me, I have been in Manchester for three years and have been doing great; some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody. Like everyone else.”

Zinedine Zidane, the three-time consecutive UCL winning Real Madrid coach, has long been an admirer of the Frenchman.

With massive rebuilding happening at the 13-time European Champions, Zidane sees Pogba and the ideal player to boss the midfield for years, and the former Juventus man is looking to the prospect of such challenge, away from a fading United.

“After the season and everything that has happened this season, with my season being my best as well… I think it could be a good time to have a new challenge,” he concluded.

Paul Pogba moved back to United for the world record £89.3 million after four successful seasons in Turin, but his United return has been filled more with much inconsistency on the pitch, trouble with coaches and his social media razzmatazz.

He has played 89 league games for the Red Devils, scoring 24 goals.
