Ituah Ighodalo, senior pastor at Trinity House, is set to speak at a symposium on ethics in business and professions in Lagos state.

Ighodalo is also the managing partner of SIAO, a prominent consulting firm providing services in auditing, tax, accounting and financial reporting.

The event organised by the Rotary Club of Lagos, a member of Rotary International District 9110, is scheduled for Wednesday, January 26 at Ikeja.

According to Kehinde Ayo-Kasunmu, chairman of the ethics in business and professions committee, the annual event covers clubs in Lagos and Ogun states.

He said the symposium is aimed at projecting one of the focal points of Rotary, which is high ethical standards in all vocations.

Ayo-Kasunmu noted that by encouraging probity, Rotary believes this will be a solid foundation to build goodwill, peace and better friendship in the world.

He added that high ethical standards in business and professions should be sancroscant.

“When the nation practises the right ethical behaviour, the entire framework of society benefits,” Ayo-Kasunmu said.

“In addition, good governance will be encouraged, with positive results such as making those in leadership become servant leaders, ensuring they formulate progressive policies which invariably leads to reduction in corruption, better infrastructure and wealth creation.

“The symposium will also be used to raise awareness on the scourge of lack of integrity in our society and encourage individual standards, values and practices.

“The symposium also has very significant advantages for the private sector, which ultimately benefits from Rotary’s famous 4-Way Test.”

According to him, Remi Bello, the district governor, will be the chief host while Tunde Ogunmekan will be the rapporteur.

He noted that the event will also be open to a virtual audience who can join via zoom.
