He said the symposium is aimed at projecting one of the focal points of Rotary, which is high ethical standards in all vocations.

Ayo-Kasunmu noted that by encouraging probity, Rotary believes this will be a solid foundation to build goodwill, peace and better friendship in the world.

“When the nation practises the right ethical behaviour, the entire framework of society benefits,” Ayo-Kasunmu said.

“In addition, good governance will be encouraged, with positive results such as making those in leadership become servant leaders, ensuring they formulate progressive policies which invariably leads to reduction in corruption, better infrastructure and wealth creation.

“The symposium will also be used to raise awareness on the scourge of lack of integrity in our society and encourage individual standards, values and practices.

“The symposium also has very significant advantages for the private sector, which ultimately benefits from Rotary’s famous 4-Way Test.”
