Alex Iwobi, Super Eagles forward, has been shortlisted for Arsenal’s September player of the month award.

Iwobi is up against goalkeeper Petr Cech, Alexander Lacazette and Lucas Torreira for the award.

The Nigerian attacker was impressive for the North London club in September, setting up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s opener in the 4-2 win against Vorskla in the UEFA Europa League.

The 22-year-old also made a game-changing impact off the bench in the English Premier League game against Watford.

Iwobi has scored one goal in six games this season in all competitions. So far on the poll, he has pulled 10 percent votes.

Lacazette leads with 61 percent of the votes, Cech and Torreira have 15 percent and 14 percent respectively.
