Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, Nigerian R&B and Afro-pop singer, has said he’s “not fighting” with his business partner/manager, Ubi Franklin.

“I’ll be launching my new label and new album soon”, Iyanya had written on his Instagram page on Monday, July 11.

Following the announcement of his impending departure from Made Men Music Group (MMMG), the grapevine went into overdrive with series of reports of the possible reason behind the move.

The 29-year-old Kukere singer is a co-owner of the record label, hence the shocking impact of his social media post.

Although sources in the loop disclosed to TheCable that there’s been money-fueled disagreements in MMMG, Iyanya has refuted the claims.

The artiste on Wednesday night, noted that his decision to set up his own shop did not stem from a disagreement with Franklin.

Iyanya said reports suggesting that he’s fighting with his manager are nothing but “lies”.

NOT FIGHTING WITH FRANKLIN’S WIFE

Iyanya also denied being at war with Franklin because he couldn’t get along with his wife, Lilian Esoro, a Nollywood actress.

“His wife is the best woman in the world for him, she is a good woman. She’s a good cook too. You guys please chill”, Iyanya further stressed.

Lilian, who got married to Franklin in October 2015, recently had her baby shower and the actress is expected to put to bed in the coming weeks.

HOTEL BILLS PALAVER

Iyanya was recently accused of not settling his hotel fee when he stayed at the Hilton Houston Westchase, Texas, while performing in the United States.

An individual took to the artiste’s social media page and urged him to pay his hotel bills and “stop living off show promoters”.

Swiftly reacting to the allegation, Iyanya said “haters try to make blessed people” like him look bad.

While telling the accuser to get his facts right, Iyanya put up on his Instagram page, a copy of a letter written by Allison Schaefer, the hotel manager who confirmed that he did not default on payment.
