The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will now hold on April 24.
In a statement on Saturday, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s spokesperson, said the new date was set to “accommodate essential commitments by the board and its partner agencies”.
The board also advised candidates to print their examination slips, adding that the document will include the date, venue, and time for their paper.
JAMB said the slip will also entail the details necessary for “having a successful examination”.

“This adjustment has been made to accommodate essential commitments by the board and its partner agencies,” the statement reads.
“In preparation for the examination, prospective candidates can now print their notification slips, which contain vital information regarding their exam details.
“Candidates are encouraged to print their Notification Slips starting today, Saturday, April 19, 2025.

“This will provide ample time for logistical arrangements to access their assigned centres within the chosen examination towns.”
JAMB urged candidates to also get acquainted with their examination centres to ensure a smooth experience on exam day.
The body advised the students to ensure that they print their slips at least a day before the examination.
“Please note that candidates will be assigned to centres within their chosen examination towns; no candidate will be placed in a centre outside their selected town,” it added.

Candidates are however, urged to visit JAMB website, click on “2025 UTME Slip Printing”, and enter registration number to print the slip.
Last week, JAMB released the results of the 2025 mock UTME. The exam was held on April 10, although marred by protracted delays and logistic lapses.
Benjamin said these challenges were anticipated due to the implementation of new features designed to improve the overall conduct of the main UTME.
