Abdulmumini Jibrin, former chairman of the appropriations committee of the house of representatives, says he will take his campaign against Yakubu Dogara, speaker of the house, to anti-corruption agencies.

Jibrin said this via his Twitter handle on Monday.

“My lawyers have confirmed my appointments for today with security and anti corruption agencies to personally provide insight on my petition,” Jibrin said in a series of tweets.

“We will be at the ICPC 10am, DSS 12noon, EFCC 2pm and Police HQ 4pm. The law will surely catch up with the corrupt speaker Dogara and others.”

Jibrin, who says he is a corruption martyr, accused Dogara of corrupt enrichment, abuse of office and public trust, living above his means and moving funds in the budget.

Jibrin has also accused some heads of committees of padding the 2016 budget with projects to the tune of N284 billion.

Several individuals and organisations including SERAP and activist lawyer Femi Falana urged Dogara to step down to allow investigation into the  allegations.

The transparency group, a group of legislators, are also asking for investigations into Jibrin’s allegation.
