Joel Obi completes switch from Torino to Chievo Verona

Chievo Verona have announced the signing of Joel Obi from Torino.

The midfielder was snapped up in a deal which will keep him at the club for the next three seasons.

Obi will wear the number 22 jersey for the Serie A outfit.

The Nigeria international has an option to add a fourth year to the deal at the Stadio Bentegodi.

Born in Nigeria in 1991, Obi joins the Flying Donkeys with his contract remaining one year at Torino.

He featured in 52 games for the Turin club and scored six goals.

Obi, a creative and technical player with playmaking ability, spent three years at Torino.

He has made 17 appearances for Nigeria and was part of the country’s squad to the 2018 World Cup.
