John Momoh elected chairman of BON

John Momoh has been elected chairman of the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria.
He was elected on Wednesday at the annual delegates conference in Abuja.
Momoh polled 51 votes, defeating Abbas Dalhatu, from Freedom radio in Kano, who had 12 votes.
Momoh, owner of Channels media group, is the first private television owner to hold the position.
