The trial of Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, suspected kidnap kingpin better known as Evans, was stalled on Friday owing to the absence of the judge in court.

On Monday, Oluwatoyin Taiwo, the presiding judge at the Ikeja high court, Lagos, was also absent as she was attending an event to mark the new legal year.

Evan’s trial was also stalled on September 11 due to the absence of the prosecution witness, a police inspector, who was said to be engaged elsewhere.

Evans is facing charges bordering on conspiracy to kidnap, kidnapping and attempted murder.
