In new appointments, Buhari picks Gusau to head PTDF

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of 13 chief executives in some parastatals and agencies.

According to a statement by Bolaji Adebiyi, director of press and public relations in the office of the secretary to the government of the federation, Bello Aliyu Gusau is now executive secretary, Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).

Joseph Ari was named director-general of Industrial Training Fund (ITF), while Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami) becomes director-general of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

Also appointed are Simbi Kesiye Wabote as executive secretary, Nigerian Content Monitoring Board; Osita Anthony Aboloma,director-general, Standard Organisation of Nigeria; Mamman Amadu, director-general, Bureau of Public Procurement (BPE); Sharon Ikeazor, director-general, Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD); and Gloria Akobundu, national coordinator/chief executive officer, New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD).

Ahmed Bobboi is the new executive secretary, Petroleum Equalisation Fund; Umana Okon Umana becomes managing director, Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority; and Sa’adiya Faruq becomes federal commissioner for National Commission for Refugees, Migrant and Internally Displaced Persons.

Completing the list are Usman Abubakar, chairman of Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC); and Yewande Sadiku, executive secretary, Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission.
