The Super Eagles recently signed a five-year sponsorship deal worth $5m with Coca-Cola.

El Hadj Seck, Simba group marketing head, said he hopes the Super Eagles will ride on the crest of the support to bring joy to the faces of Nigerians at the World Cup in Russia.

Seck said: “This opens a new chapter in our sponsorship drive in sports, having already shown sufficient commitment in bankrolling the game of cricket in substantial level in the past.

“Today’s ceremony is therefore a culmination of fruitful discussion on how to earn the rights to be the Super Eagles official motorcycle and tricycle to the World Cup.

“We are convinced that this marriage with the Nigerian number one team and market leader in the motorcycle and tricycle industry is a relationship destined for greatness.

“We thank the NFF for the opportunity to be part of history and we wish the Super Eagles and the handler good tidings at the mundial.”

Shehu Dikko, NFF’s second vice-president who spoke on behalf of the Amaju Pinnick, NFF president, said: “Basically, what we are going to sign today is a two-year partnership to make TVS motorcycle and tricycle official partner of the Super Eagles.

“And what we are looking at from them is to do a lot of activation, a lot of drive, to drive this brand across board.

“I will say success is very good, stability is very good. Without all these, we won’t be having any new friends who will want to come on board to be part of what we are doing.

“So, it’s our delight, we are quite excited, we are happy to welcome Simba group on board.”
