Stephen Keshi, former Super Eagles coach, has expressed interest in the vacant Ghana coaching job.

The Ghana Football Association has already short-listed and interviewed three European coaches for the vacant position but Keshi wants to gatecrash the process and land the job after being axed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in October 16, 2014.

The Big Boss told Accra-based Happy FM on Monday of his intention to grab the Black Stars job – a position which has been vacant since the dismissal of Kwesi Appiah in September.

“Yes, I would like to coach the Black Stars. It will be a dream come true.

“Ghana is one of the biggest teams in Africa and I will be very happy to have the chance to coach Ghana.

“Ghana is like home and I have a lot of respect for Ghanaian players.

“Ghana is different from any other African country and I am ready to come and coach the Black Stars.”

Under Keshi, Nigeria won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in 19 years.

He also qualified the team for Brazil 2014 World Cup and guided them to reach the round of 16.
